Barbara Tuck

Graduating from Elam Art School in 1965, Barbara Tuck made her first trip to Europe in the late 1960s. Over the years, travel has become a consistent theme and influence in Tuck's artwork.

In 1980 Tuck held her first solo exhibition at RKS Art in Auckland. Acquiring a studio soon after this allowed her work to expand, both in quantity and physical size. Following her inclusion in the National Art Gallery's 1986 survey of contemporary works, Content/Context Tuck began exhibiting with Peter McLeavey in 1987.
