Ans Westra
Born in the Netherlands in 1936 Ans Westra immigrated to New Zealand in 1957 and lives and works in Wellington. Westra is a self taught photographer with an interest in Maori and New Zealand Culture. Westra us probably most well known for her 'Washday at the Pa' photography series. In 1998 Westra was awarded Companion of the Order of New Zealand Merit (CNZM) for services to photography.
